To me turquoise simply means a color when you can't really say if it's green or blue; and is created by mixing sky blue and leaf green icing colors.
Various shades of turquoise is explained at Wikipedia and interesting fact of the mineral can be found at Sleeping Beauty Turquoise
Pantone.com announced that turquoise is the Color of the Year for 2010. It's only January, and I already did 2 cakes with turquoise theme, well... they might be right.
Order from Mas for her friends at the bank. I like these colorful cupcake boxes, but... they are a little too expensive, and the guy at the shop said it's their last pack. I only realized that the "z" alphabet looks more like an "x" in Kunstler Script font after I've printed all the edible images! Sorry Mas, and thanks for ordering
This is the cake I decorated during wedding cake decorating class at PGCakecraft. It served as a practice for me before making my first wedding cake for a customer who is brave enough to order hers from me :0 Thanks Zareena for sharing with us your knowledge from the expensive Wilton & Squires Kitchen classes you attended at ICCA
P/S We didn't have enough time to complete the flower arrangement :)

Cest la Vie cupcakes

Another order from Ms Tina for her students (thanks Tina).
Tina was at a school at hubby's kampung and we had to balik kampung too ; funny that this was the 2nd time we were around the same place when I wanted to deliver her order. For her previous order we met at the hospital when I was visiting my nephew and she had an appointment there too.
Sorry..., blurred pics again taken using my E71 phone. For great pics of these, please go to Cest-la-vie. Thanks Tina!

Goodbye Teachers !
This set was ordered by Ms Tina for her trainee teachers at IPGM Darulaman Campus, Jitra. We could not decide a suitable time for Tina to pickup her order at my house so I suggested Tina to meet me at Hospital S. Bahiyah Alor Setar when I went to visit Asyraf. Thanks Tina.
Ms Tina was linked to this blogsite by Jusni, the avid photographer at http://wickedwarhol.blogspot.com/. He makes all the mundane things around us looks so impressive....
Asyraf is no longer in HDW ward, alhamdulillah. His tracheostomy is now connected to the O2 supply, only one tube (for Pulmocare formula) still remains in his throat. The upcoming Eidul Fitri is already bringing some happiness to us, Asyraf will be transferred to nearby Hospital Kulim tomorrow, insyallah.....

Farewell Cupcakes
Mas requested some sweet farewell gifts for her friends on her last day at the office. So we came up with these cuppies, personalized with everyone's names. Cupcake was placed in a larger silver foil cupcake liner and packed in individual square clear pvc cases ..... of which I forgot to snap the pics :(
Thanks Mas, have fun in your new office!
P/S Asyraf typed a message 2 days ago telling that the doc had informed him that he needed to undergo another op. Ever since he's in HDW we've been communicating by texting on the phone, I kept forgetting to get him a small magna doodle instead. I could see he was in despair, earlier that day his left lung collapsed again when the nurses tried to turn him onto his sides. All I could find myself said to him "...don't worry Asyraf, get better and let's get out of this ward..."
He had the op done just now. A tracheostomy to replace the breathing etc.. tubes in his mouth. Hope to hear him talking/whispering again when we visit him this weekend.....
